"Killa On The Run" by Bruno Mars...?

Hi! There is this song by Bruno Mars called Killa On The Run. If you have heard it and possibly know the lyrics, this question is for you. So in the song, Bruno Mars sings in the point of view of the GIRL. Does anybody know why? Did he write this song for it to be sold/given to other artists? Did he not originally write this song? Or any other explanation that you may know would be great! Thanks a lot for your help :)
