you maybe love your dad very much, but did you have a disagreement with him or a fall out of some sort, if so you should patch things up, you will always be his little girl no matter how fast you grow up. i feel you mother is hoping you patch things up to but she is not telling you to do so, sort of going around it in hope you get the message and do it yourself.
