I got speeding tickets in states other than where I live, should I pay?

My wife and I decided to move across the country (rented a car) from Florida to California last weekend. Along our journey, I got pulled over in both Tennessee and Texas by state troopers. In both states I was issued a ticket for speeding (85mph in a 70). Because of all of our moving expenses I will be unable to pay for these tickets. I will not be driving in California, I will be relying on public transportation, but I still do not want any marks on my record. Will i be charged in contempt of court in only those states or will it affect me in california too? I absolutely cannot afford these tickets...any suggestions?
